Licensing, in plain English

This Basic License grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide right to use the purchased sample pack in one (1) commercial musical composition or recording ("the Composition"). You may use the contents to record, produce, broadcast, and distribute the Composition across streaming platforms, digital downloads, and physical media, subject to a combined lifetime cap of 100,000 total streams and/or units sold across all platforms. Once this cap is reached, an Unlimited or Commercial upgrade is required to continue monetized distribution. You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage the raw audio files, MIDI files, or any individual element of the pack — including isolated one-shots, loops, or stems — as part of another sample pack, plugin, or dataset, whether free or paid. You may not claim ownership or authorship of the unaltered underlying sounds. Synchronization use (film, TV, advertising, games) is permitted for a single project, provided the sync fee or placement is not itself a resale of the raw samples. Credit is appreciated but not required. This license does not transfer copyright of the original recordings, which remains with SampleCity and its contributing producers. Refunds are not available once download links have been issued, in accordance with standard digital-goods policy for pre-cleared sample content.

This Commercial License grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide right to use the purchased sample pack across an unlimited number of commercial musical compositions or recordings. Each individual release is capped at 500,000 combined lifetime streams and/or units sold. Releases that exceed this threshold should be upgraded to an Unlimited License to remain in compliance; SampleCity will not audit your platform analytics but expects good-faith adherence to these terms. You may use the contents in albums, EPs, singles, sync placements (film, TV, advertising, games, social media monetization), and live performances. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or repackage the raw audio files, MIDI files, or any isolated element of the pack as a competing sample pack, plugin, preset bank, or training dataset. This license covers an unlimited number of songwriters and performers credited on a given release, provided the underlying production is your own work built from the licensed materials. Ownership and copyright of the original unaltered recordings remains with SampleCity and its contributing producers at all times. As with all digital sample content, all sales are final once download access has been granted.

This Unlimited License grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide right to use the purchased sample pack across an unlimited number of commercial musical compositions or recordings, with no streaming cap, no unit-sold cap, and no revenue ceiling, in perpetuity. This tier is designed for working producers, labels, and artists who expect a release to perform well and do not want to track thresholds or worry about follow-up licensing paperwork as a record grows. Use extends to streaming, digital and physical sales, sync licensing (film, TV, advertising, games), monetized user-generated content, and live performance recordings. You still may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or repackage the raw audio files, MIDI files, or any isolated element of the pack — including one-shots, loops, or stems in unaltered form — as a competing sample pack, plugin, preset bank, or AI training dataset. The license covers your use of the sounds within your own musical productions only. Ownership and copyright of the original unaltered recordings remains with SampleCity and its contributing producers at all times. This license is granted per purchase and is not transferable to a third party if you sell or assign your masters. All sales of digital sample content are final once download access has been granted.

This Exclusive License grants you sole and exclusive rights to the purchased sample pack. Upon completion of your purchase, the pack is permanently delisted from the SampleCity store and will never be sold to another customer again. You receive full commercial usage rights equivalent to the Unlimited License — no streaming cap, no unit cap, no revenue ceiling — across an unlimited number of releases, sync placements, and monetized platforms, in perpetuity, plus the assurance that no other artist can purchase or use the same pack going forward. SampleCity and its contributing producers retain authorship credit for the underlying sound design and reserve the right to feature non-commercial, non-downloadable excerpts (e.g. short preview clips) in portfolio materials, but will not sell, license, or distribute the pack's contents to any other party after your purchase is finalized. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the raw files as a sample pack, plugin, or dataset to third parties; the exclusivity granted here protects your usage of the sounds within your own music, not a right to redistribute the underlying assets themselves. Because delisting is immediate and irreversible, Exclusive purchases are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged.
